1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GoMonio ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including but not limited to personal users, business users, and agency users who manage clients through our platform.

2. Description of Service

GoMonio is a financial management platform that provides cashflow-based data analysis and reporting. Our Service includes:

  • Transaction import and categorization from CSV and Excel files
  • Account and profile management with role-based access control
  • Cash flow reports, forecasting, and financial analytics
  • Multi-tier subscription plans with varying features and limits
  • Agency services for managing business clients
  • Bank integration capabilities (when available)
  • Data export and GDPR-compliant data management

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Types

We offer three types of user profiles:

  • Personal: For individual financial management (Free and Premium tiers)
  • Business: For business financial management (Basic and Premium tiers with 60-day trial)
  • Agency: For agencies managing multiple business clients (Starter, Standard, Professional, Enterprise tiers)

3.2 Registration Requirements

To use our Service, you must:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Verify your email address
  • Be at least 18 years old or have legal capacity to enter into contracts
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. We implement security measures including password hashing, rate limiting, and session management, but you must also take reasonable steps to protect your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Subscription Tiers

We offer multiple subscription tiers organized by user type:

Personal Plans:

  • Free: Basic transaction tracking for 1 member
  • Premium: Unlimited transactions and advanced features for up to 5 members

Business Plans:

  • Basic: Business accounting and basic features for 1 member
  • Premium: Advanced reporting and integrations for up to 5 members

Agency Plans:

  • Starter: Up to 3 clients and 5 team members
  • Standard: Up to 5 clients and 5 team members
  • Professional: Up to 20 clients and 5 team members
  • Enterprise: 40+ clients with metered billing and 5 team members

4.2 Payment and Billing

Subscription fees are processed through Stripe and are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Business profiles receive a 60-day free trial, after which billing setup is required for continued access.

Agency profiles require immediate billing setup upon registration. Enterprise agencies are subject to additional per-client charges of €20 per month for each client beyond the 40-client base allowance.

4.3 Additional Member Slots

Most plans (except Personal Free and Business Basic) can purchase additional member slots for €5 per month or €60 per year each. Member slot billing intervals automatically match your main subscription billing frequency.

4.4 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods, except as required by applicable law.

5. Agency Services and Client Management

5.1 Agency-Client Relationships

Agencies may invite and manage business clients through our platform. Client limits apply based on your subscription tier:

  • Starter: 3 clients maximum
  • Standard: 5 clients maximum
  • Professional: 20 clients maximum
  • Enterprise: 40 base clients (unlimited with per-client billing)

5.2 Client Invitations

Agency invitations are valid for 7 days and require email verification. Clients automatically receive premium tier features at no cost while managed by an agency.

5.3 Data Access and Responsibility

Agencies have access to their clients' financial data as necessary to provide services. Agencies are responsible for maintaining client confidentiality and complying with applicable data protection laws regarding client information.

6. Data Import and Bank Integration

6.1 Transaction Import

You may import transaction data via CSV or Excel files. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and legality of all imported data. We provide tools for data validation and categorization but do not guarantee the accuracy of imported information.

6.2 Bank Integration (PSD2)

When available, bank integration services are provided through third-party PSD2 providers. By using bank integration features, you authorize us to access your designated bank accounts for transaction retrieval. We implement appropriate security measures but are not responsible for third-party provider outages or data accuracy.

7. Data Protection and Privacy

7.1 Data Processing

We process your financial data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including GDPR. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

7.2 Data Retention

Upon account deletion, we implement a sophisticated data cleanup system that removes personal data while retaining financial records as required by applicable financial regulations. Transaction data may be retained in anonymized form for regulatory compliance.

7.3 Data Export

You may export your data at any time through our platform's export features. We provide data in standard formats to ensure portability.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload false, inaccurate, or misleading financial information
  • Use the Service for any illegal financial activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code
  • Use the Service to transmit malware or other harmful software
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GoMonio and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of your financial data. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to process and analyze your data to provide our services.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

10.1 Service Disclaimer

GoMonio is a financial management tool and does not provide financial advice. We are not responsible for financial decisions made based on information from our Service. You should consult with qualified financial professionals for personalized advice.

10.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoMonio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses.

10.3 Data Accuracy

While we strive to maintain accurate data processing, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any financial calculations or reports generated by our Service.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service will cease immediately
  • Your subscription will be cancelled (no refunds for partial periods)
  • Your data will be handled according to our data retention policies
  • Agency-client relationships will be terminated

We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Finland.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

For significant changes, we will provide reasonable notice through email or prominent notice within the Service.
